What Is Chat Mapper?

Chat Mapper is a new, easy to use tool for writing and testing nonlinear dialogue, especially for video games and training. Built from the frustration of trying to use Final Draft, Word, or even Excel to write complex branching dialogue, Chat Mapper was built from the ground up with usability in mind.

New Website Addons & Resources Page

A new addons & resources section of the website was added where we will be posting several useful scripts and addons written by ourselves as well as other Chat Mapper customers. We will be adding content throughout the coming months, so be sure to check back often!

 

Chat Mapper 1.2 Released!

Chat Mapper 1.2 has officially been released and is now available from the download page!  This version brings several new features and improvements to make writing and sharing non-linear dialogue much easier including:

  • New Feature: Project packager to export and import all associated media assets automatically
  • New Feature: Template system allows you to create starting points for your project
  • New Feature: Improved WMV video support including embedded marker support
  • Improved XML export! Fields can now be excluded for up to 50% file size reduction
