This is a collection of scripts and software to enhance the capabilities of Chat Mapper.

iDirect and iSpeech plugin for Unity

iDirect is a staging system for blocking your characters’ movements, actions at markers, interactions with other characters and speech. iDirect+iSpeech are integrated with Chat Mapper (www.chat-mapper.com) so that all you have to do is point/click and assign a conversation script to have one or more characters move and interact with each other intelligently.

Chat Mapper XML to JSON Python Script

Written by Bernie Roehl, this Python script will convert Chat Mapper XML data into JSON, which can be loaded into Unity with a simple eval() call.

Exporters

To install these exporters, simply save them to the Exporters folder of your Chat Mapper installation directory (usually “C:\Program Files\Chat Mapper\Exporters”).  Then, restart Chat Mapper and they will be available for use from the File -> Export menu.

Templates

These project starting points have pre-defined asset fields and can be installed by simply saving the file into your Chat Mapper Templates folder (usually “My Documents\Chat Mapper\Templates”).

Chat Mapper Packages

Self-contained Chat Mapper projects including all media assets.  These can be directly imported into Chat Mapper with a Commercial License.
